Created in 1927 by Xavier Pauchard, the A chair has known since its
creation a worldwide success which earned him to be copied but without ever
to be equaled! Before entering the VITRA MUSEUM collections,
the MOMA, the POMPIDOU center or the VILLA SAVOYE of the very
renowned architect LE CORBUSIER, the A chair was shipped in 1935
on the Normandy liner and populates the café terraces, team
hospitals, the US military and communities before joining the
private sphere. Always handcrafted in Burgundy in our
manufacture, and as 100% of our furniture, Chair A remains
still an icon in the design world today. Available in
steel for the TOLIX® MAISON version, Chair A is also available
in stainless steel for a TOLIX® OUTDOOR version. Chair A is
now available in perforated stainless steel for a new style
resolutely chic. Chairs A can accommodate a TOLIX® cushion.
